Annoying Orange Fan Q&A

Series creator Dane Boedigheimer (Orange) was joined by Toby Turner (Neville), Justine Ezarik (Passion Fruit), series writer Tom Sheppard, and moderator John DiMaggio to answer fan questions during the Annoying Orange panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2012.

Do you have any dream guests you want on the show?

Boedigheimer – I have one person. I’m the biggest Firefly fan in the world and I want Nathan Fillion to be on the show.

Ezarik – I really want Katy Perry to be a fruit.

You said Tony Hawk was going to be on the show. What fruit is he playing?

Dane – He’s actually not a fruit. He’s a cheese. He’s a wedge of cheese.

Sheppard – And he’s not playing a skateboarder. He’s a racecar driver.

Toby, what was your favorite episode to film?

Turner – There’s this episode where I build this vacuum robot and I get sucked up into it. Then basically I get turned into this murder robot and go around firing rockets. It’s the best.

Do you use different oranges?

Boedigheimer – No, it’s the same orange from the very first episode.

Sheppard – He keeps it in the freezer.

Why does Orange hate Apple, but not Little Apple?

Boedigheimer – That’s a great question! They love little apple because he’s kind of a misfit. He’s a smaller guy but he’s’ got a big heart. They’re all a bunch of misfits.

What’s your favorite fruit to eat?

DiMaggio – Pineapple

Turner – Watermelon. [Laughing] Gotta keep it real.

Boedigheimer – Strawberries.

Sheppard – Frangmelon…

Boedigheimer – You just made that up.

Sheppard – Yes, I did.
