Series creator Pendleton Ward (Lumpy Space Princess) was joined by Jeremy Shada (Finn), John DiMaggio (Jake), Tom Kenny (Ice King), and storyboard artist Rebecca Sugar to answer fan questions during the Adventure Time panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2012.

When will Princess Bubblegum meet the Flame Princess? If so will she be jealous?

Ward: You’re going to find out really soon. We wrote that one already.

Is Princess Bubblegum evil?

Ward: I don’t think she’s evil. She’s just very logical. She’s a cold and calculating scientist. But Peppermint Butler might be evil…

Will Fionna be in any more episodes?

Sugar: Yes [Thunderous applause]

Are there going to be any new spells?

Ward: Oh yeah, man. There’s going to be so many new spells, man. You’re not going to even believe it.

Do you ever come out with the wrong voices?

DiMaggio: Any time I raise my voice it’s going to sound a little like Bender.

Kenny: Any voice that you’re starting with has got your DNA on it. You can switch it up as much as you want, but there’s always going to be that

Are there plans for Adventure Time movie?

DiMaggio: I’d do an Adventure Time movie. Would you, Pen?

Ward: Yeah.

Shada: I’d do it.

Ward: We are working on a special. So that’s something.

What inspired the design of the characters?

Ward: My brother’s dog. He’s got a bulldog and I was drawing around him. I just started drawing little ears on things.

Why do the demons poop banana out of their ears?

Ward: It’s weird there.

Kenny: Is it the banana part of the ear part you’re worried about?

Shada: They do it because they can.

Will Tiffany get his revenge?

Ward: Tiffany is coming back. It’s a pretty cool episode. Can’t say anything else about it.

What happened between Princess Bubblegum and Marceline to make them hate each other?

Ward: They had a falling out. They used to be friends. It’s complicated.

Will there be an episode about that?

Ward: Yeah, probably.

What was the event that made humans so scarce?

Ward: Yeah, well. We’re thinking about it.

Shada: You guys are thinking about a lot of things.

Ward: We might do it. Nobody wants to really know, right? You want to feel that tension of what’s going to happen.

What’s in the everything burrito?

Ward: Let me get out my dictionary app.

Kenny: This could take a while

Ward: Bananas, pineapples, bacon, kitchen sink, frying pan, pudding, Cinnamon Bun—the character, etc.

Who are Finns parents?

Ward: That’s a big question. We have plans for that?

Will Finn a Jake ever meet Fionna and Cake?

Ward: Um, no.

[Crowd complains]

Ward: Well, maybe.

Is the Nightosphere based on Comic-Con?

Ward: Yes, yes it is.

Kenny: It smells like Comic-Con.

Pen, what were you like when you were Finn’s age?

Ward: I was very Finn-like. As I’ve grown older, I’ve grown more Ice King-like. I was a big environmentalist when I was a kid. Now I just sit in my room and play video games… and wish I had a wife. [Crowd laughs]
